Luxury Colorado Estate Built by 1-800-Flowers Founder Sells for $25 Million

Multi-million-dollar home tied to 1-800-Flowers founder sold in Avon, Colorado.

A
Colorado estate once owned by Carl Westcott, founder of 1-800-Flowers, has sold for $25.2 million in Avon, Colorado. The nearly 11,200-square-foot home and its 1.87-acre lot offer direct access to Beaver Creek ski resort. According to property records, the sale occurred between two limited liability companies on September 6.

The listing agent, Shawn Byrne of Ron Byrne & Associates, described the home as "one of the most immaculately designed and curated houses" in the market. The estate features five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and luxurious materials such as limestone, slate, and marble. It also boasts a bowling alley, movie theater, and extensive outdoor deck and patio spaces with panoramic views.

The sale established a new record for Beaver Creek, according to Byrne, who represented the property. The home's previous owner had owned it for about six years before selling it through an early September transaction. Prior to that, it was linked to Westcott's family.
