S
ales have launched at Optima McDowell Mountain, a luxury condo tower in Scottsdale valued at $1 billion. The complex features 196 residential units priced between $600,000 and $1.4 million, ranging from 728 to 2,204 square feet. Over 60% of early reservations are for custom combination homes, which involve purchasing two to three adjacent units.
Located on 22 acres near Scottsdale Road and the Pima Loop 101 Freeway, Optima McDowell Mountain will eventually comprise six eight-story towers. The property is expected to be completed by summer 2027. Each tower will have 1.5 acres dedicated to resort-caliber amenities, including a pool, track, outdoor spa, and fitness center.
The complex's inner-circle space, covering about 16 acres, will feature 36,000 square feet of restaurants and retail shops, designed as an "oasis." Optima President David Hovey stated that this is the company's first for-sale residences in Arizona in four years. The development incorporates sustainable features such as underground parking to reduce surface heat retention and a private rainwater harvesting system capable of storing up to 210,000 gallons of water.
