Luxury Estate of Billionaire Heir Hits Market After Divorce Settlement.

Hyatt Heir Tony Pritzker Sells LA Hills Estate After Split with Wife Jeanne Pritzker.

T
he Pritzker Estate, one of the largest homes in the US, has hit the market for $195 million. Located in Beverly Crest, Los Angeles, the 50,000-square-foot megamansion took six years to build and features 16 bedrooms, 27 bathrooms, a tennis court, a basketball court, a cliffside pool, a detached guest house, a bowling alley, and a private movie theater.

Built by Hyatt heir Tony Pritzker and his then-wife Jeanne in 2011, the estate was designed by architect Ed Tuttle. The couple separated in 2022 after 33 years of marriage, with Tony wanting to sell the property while Jeanne wanted to stay. A recent divorce settlement allowed the home to be put on the market.

The Pritzker Estate boasts stunning views of the Los Angeles skyline and features a unique design with an atrium as its focal point. The interior is mainly steel and glass, with panoramic views of the city from many rooms. The property also includes a wellness center, a ground-floor patio, and a balcony on the second floor.

The backyard is a private oasis with an infinity pool made of green marble, an outdoor kitchen with two grills and a pizza oven, and a custom swimsuit spinner. A tennis court and basketball court are also located in the yard, along with a detached guest house. The property was completed in 2011 and has been marketed as one of the finest homes ever built.

The Pritzker Estate's listing agent, Stephen Shapiro, notes that due to property restrictions, it is unlikely that a home of this size will be built in this area again. If sold for its asking price, the estate would break the previous record for the priciest home sold in Los Angeles, held by Jeff Bezos' Beverly Hills mansion, which he purchased for $165 million in 2020.
