onald Holden, the former head of seed company Holden's Foundation Seeds, and his wife Arlene sold their 1.1-acre waterfront estate in Admirals Cove to Stacey Goel, wife of hedge funder David Goel, for a record-breaking $34 million. The sale surpasses the previous Jupiter price record set last year when Dr. Mazin Shikara's mansion sold for $27.5 million.
Admirals Cove is an affluent neighborhood in coastal Jupiter, home to notable residents like Donald Trump Jr., Kimberly Guilfoyle, and Major League Baseball's Max Scherzer. The Holdens' estate at 209 Commodore Drive features nine bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, a pool, guest house, putting green, two docks, and 300 feet of waterfront.
David Goel co-founded Matrix Capital Management in Massachusetts and donated $100 million to Harvard University, his alma mater, in 2019. The sale was facilitated by Rob Thomson of Waterfront Properties & Club Communities, who ranked sixth in Palm Beach County brokers with $203 million in on-market deals last year.
The Holdens acquired the property from homebuilder Ronald Pertnoy in 2007 for an undisclosed price. Pertnoy built the 24,300-square-foot mansion on the site, which he purchased for $3.1 million in 2001. The estate was listed for $40 million in August before selling to Stacey Goel.
