M
acy's is closing its store at The Shops at Northfield, located at 8298 Northfield Blvd. The retailer announced the closure on Thursday, along with 65 other stores across the country. Most of these closures will take place this quarter.
This move is part of Macy's plan to close 150 underperforming stores by 2026, which was announced last year. Previously, Macy's owned the Northfield real estate but sold it in January 2023 for $8 million to Stockdale Capital Partners, a Los Angeles-based company that owns most of the open-air shopping center.
Meanwhile, fellow retailer Kohl's has also announced plans to close its store at Arapahoe Crossing in Aurora.
