*Measurabl Names Maureen Waters CEO**
San Diego‑based sustainability data platform Measurabl announced on December 16, 2025 that Maureen Waters will become its chief executive officer. Waters, who joined the company in 2023 as Chief Growth Officer and was promoted to President in 2024, brings a deep proptech and real‑estate background. Prior to Measurabl she was a partner at MetaProp, a venture‑capital firm focused on real‑estate technology, and has held senior roles at Cushman & Wakefield, Bill Gates Investments, and Ten‑X.
In her new capacity, Waters will steer a customer‑centric operating model, launching a “CEO listening tour” to capture direct feedback from users and partners. “I’m excited to build on the foundation we’ve created over the last two years,” she said. “I see myself as the chief customer advocate first and foremost. Our focus will remain on supporting customer needs and delivering innovative solutions that help the industry embed sustainability data into real‑estate transactions throughout the asset lifecycle.”
Measurabl’s co‑founder and former CEO, Matt Ellis, will step into the role of Executive Chairman and board member, concentrating on investment and M&A strategy and providing strategic counsel. Ellis reflected on the company’s growth: “Over the last 13 years, we built Measurabl into the world’s most widely adopted sustainability data platform for real‑estate. Maureen is the CEO to do what’s next: break down paywalls for unprecedented, widespread adoption, assemble a deeper, broader ecosystem of partnerships and integrations, and pave a clear path to being the industry’s source of truth for investment‑grade sustainability data.”
Other leadership changes include Edward Allen’s promotion from Chief Revenue Officer to Chief Commercial Officer, and Chris Zegal’s elevation from SVP of Marketing to SVP of Go‑To‑Market Strategy and Marketing.
Founded in 2013, Measurabl’s platform now spans more than 22 billion square feet of real‑estate assets—over $3 trillion in value—across 90+ countries. The system enables owners and asset managers to measure, manage, and report sustainability data, helping them assess climate risk, meet regulatory requirements, drive decarbonization, unlock sustainable finance, and enhance asset value while reducing capital costs.
