Miami Home Sale Leaves Billionaire with $2 Million Loss

Scripps heir Sam Logan sells Miami Beach home for less than its $4 million asking price.

B
illionaire Sam Logan, heir to Scripps Network Interactive, has taken a $2 million loss on the sale of his Miami Beach home, Villa Una. The modern residence, which boasts its own dock, sold for $11 million after Logan purchased it for $13 million in an all-cash deal just over a year ago.

The 5,600-square-foot villa, designed by Kobi Karp Architecture and Interior Design, features six bedrooms, 6½ bathrooms, and stunning water views from every room. The open chef's kitchen, elevator, family room, media room, and home office/den are just some of the luxurious amenities within the property.

Logan, a 33-year-old vegan entrepreneur, has founded several companies, including Kuma Cannabis, Concierge Automotive Services, and Fauxcus, a luxury vegan outerwear brand. His father is a successful luxury construction developer, and Logan's mother is part owner of Scripps Network Interactive, which sold its networks to Discovery in 2017 for $14.6 billion.

The property was featured on MTV's "Siesta Key" reality show and made headlines after Logan and his friends were robbed at gunpoint in the home during Season 5. The listing agents for the sale were Jordan Karp and Douglas Elliman's Pier Paolo Visconti and Claudia Maria Llanes, while brokers Joel Lusky and Alex Knips represented the buyer.

Billionaire's Miami mansion sale results in significant financial loss of $2 million.
