Michael Feinstein Lists California Home for $4.49M, Up from $2.72M Purchase

Feinstein and husband Terrence Flannery seek larger home for entertaining guests, hunting in Beverly Hills.

C
abaret icon Michael Feinstein and his husband Terrence Flannery are putting their West Hollywood Hills Spanish‑style villa on the market for $4.49 million, nearly twice the $2.72 million they paid in 2024. The 1936‑built home, perched on 0.12 acres above Sunset Boulevard, spans 3,623 sq ft and boasts four bedrooms, four baths, a grand foyer, a living room with fireplace, a formal dining room, a lounge with wet bar, and a chef’s kitchen that opens onto a patio and garden. A dramatic staircase leads to a master suite with fireplace, two walk‑in closets, and two baths, plus additional guest rooms. The basement houses a gym, laundry, and ample storage.

Feinstein, famed for keeping the Great American Songbook alive, told Gimme Shelter that the couple “renovated every square foot” and now use the space for hosting celebrity guests, a green room, and a studio for concerts and recordings. The expansive views and airy layout have become a creative haven, prompting the pair to seek a larger home to accommodate growing social circles and their West‑side production work. They are reportedly searching for a new residence in Beverly Hills, where Feinstein once collaborated with Ira Gershwin on Roxbury Drive.

The couple’s real‑estate portfolio includes a Central Park South townhouse, a Carmel, Indiana property near the Great American Songbook Foundation, a Pasadena estate that has appeared in shows like “Glee,” and a 50‑acre avocado ranch in Carpenteria. In 2018 they sold an Upper East Side townhouse on East 63rd Street for $15.2 million.

Feinstein will perform at Carnegie Hall in November and is currently featured in the streaming special “Because of You: My Tribute to Tony Bennett.” The listing is handled by Idan Gould of Douglas Elliman.

The home’s outdoor spaces, city vistas, and indoor‑outdoor flow make it a rare find in the Hollywood Hills, offering a blend of historic charm and modern luxury.
