ichael Jordan has taken his love of luxury to new heights with the purchase of a customized Gulfstream 650ER private jet, valued at $70 million. This top-tier aircraft boasts an impressive design inspired by his iconic Air Jordan sneakers and features a silver-and-black exterior with his signature Jumpman logo.
The tail number, N236MJ, pays homage to his No. 23 jersey, six championship titles, and initials. The interior is equally luxurious, accommodating 19 passengers and offering high-end amenities such as leather recliner seats, a dining area, a fully stocked bar, and a private bedroom.
With two powerful Rolls-Royce engines, the jet can reach speeds close to Mach 1 and travel up to 13 hours without refueling. However, maintenance costs are steep, with $1.9 million required annually for 200 hours of flying. Despite this, Jordan's net worth of $3.5 billion makes him well-equipped to handle these expenses.
The purchase comes on the heels of his Illinois mansion finally selling after being on the market for 12 years. The sale price is not yet known, but it marks a significant milestone in the Bulls icon's real estate journey.
