n the aftermath of Michelle Trachtenberg's untimely passing, her Manhattan rental apartment has swiftly found a new tenant. The 39-year-old actress, known for her captivating performances in "Harriet the Spy" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," had only inhabited the two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit at 1 Columbus Place near Columbus Circle for five months before her sudden demise.

Less than a month after Trachtenberg's body was discovered on February 26, the property re-entered the market with a listing price of $7,700 per month. A new tenant secured the apartment within 24 hours, agreeing to pay $7,670 monthly, according to StreetEasy records. The unit, which boasts stunning views of the Hudson River, had initially been rented by Trachtenberg for $7,500 per month in September 2024.

One Columbus Place, a 51-story complex that underwent a major renovation in 2018, offers a range of layouts, from studios to three-bedroom homes. Residents can enjoy amenities such as a fifth-floor sun deck, lounge, kids' playroom, pool, and a spacious gym. The unit Trachtenberg occupied occupies approximately 1,000 square feet, featuring a narrow galley kitchen with quartz countertops and two bedrooms on opposing ends of the main room.

Trachtenberg's career was marked by standout roles in films like "Harriet the Spy" and TV shows such as "Gossip Girl." However, her personal life had been marred by health concerns. In early 2024, she took to social media to dispel rumors about her well-being, stating that she was "happy and healthy." Despite this, Trachtenberg had undergone a liver transplant in the months preceding her death.

The cause and circumstances of Trachtenberg's passing remain unclear, with New York's Office of Chief Medical Examiner announcing on February 27 that both were inconclusive. Her Orthodox Jewish family had opposed an autopsy due to religious reasons, and with no evidence suggesting foul play, the medical examiner respected their wishes, leaving the case unresolved.
