T
he MLS Technology and Emerging Issues Advisory Board met recently to discuss the Clear Cooperation Policy. Comprised of MLS and broker executives, the board aims to reconvene in October to further consider the rule. The policy requires listing brokers to upload publicly marketed listings within one business day to an MLS, promoting healthy competition in the market.
The advisory board also reviewed feedback on the optional no-comingling rule and brokerage back-office feed. Stakeholders provided input during a robust discussion, which is standard for reviewing potential MLS policy changes. The board weighed various perspectives, including those of buyers, sellers, real estate professionals, and fair housing principles.
NAR leadership team members attended as guests, and the organization continues to gather feedback from its experienced board and committee members.
