Multi-Million Dollar Deals Close Near Wyndham, University Road Tops July Home Sales

CEO leads month's top deal, while job change fuels second-highest sale.

he top sale in Henrico's Henley neighborhood for July was a stunning 8,700-square-foot home at 5713 Ardington Blvd. The house sold on July 10 for $3.06 million in an all-cash deal, making it the highest-priced local high-end home sale of the month.

    Listed by Wythe Shockley with The Steele Group | Sotheby's International Realty, the six-bedroom, 5½-bathroom property was built in 2017 and customized to perfection over two years. Sellers Cary and Beverly Claiborne had the house designed and constructed by Richard Atack Construction, featuring top-of-the-line finishes throughout.

    The buyers, Andrew and Maureen Birken, were represented by Janice Taylor of Re/Max Commonwealth. Taylor said the couple was drawn to the home's unique features, including its large lot, basement, pool, and custom design. The Birkens are relocating from a nearby neighborhood after spending several years searching for the perfect property.

    The second-highest sale in July was 201 Panorama Drive, which sold for $3 million on July 24. This 5,600-square-foot home across River Road from the University of Richmond was listed by Kelly Blanchard with Nest Realty Group and featured a fully renovated interior with high-end finishes.

    Other top sales in Henrico for July included:

    * 4304 W. Oxford Circle in Windsor Farms, which sold for $2.82 million

    * 4801 Pocahontas Ave. in Westmoreland Place, which sold for $2.6 million

    * 5906 Three Chopt Road in Westhampton, which sold for $2.59 million
