Multiple women sue Alexander real estate brothers for alleged sex crimes

Men charged with sex trafficking deny all allegations of misconduct.

E
leven women have filed civil lawsuits against luxury real estate moguls Oren and Tal Alexander, along with their brother Alon, alleging they were sexually assaulted in New York, Miami, and Moscow. The suits claim the brothers drugged, raped, and committed other forms of sexual assault between 2011 and 2019. Ten of the women are identified as Jane Does.

The allegations come on the heels of a federal indictment against Tal and his twin brothers, who face sex trafficking charges. They pleaded not guilty and remain in custody pending trial. Prosecutors have spoken to over 60 alleged victims and plan to file additional charges.

In Miami, felony sexual battery charges were filed against the twins and another man in three incidents involving three women. The twins pleaded not guilty. Alon denied the allegations through his attorney, stating all his encounters with women were consensual and legal.

Attorney Deanna Paul for Tal claimed he's an "easy target" for accusers seeking financial gain. Lawyers for Oren did not respond to a request for comment. Andrew Van Arsdale of AVA Law Group, representing the 11 women, said the suits show the brothers' disregard for women over the past decade.

Tal and Oren face four lawsuits each, with two alleging they took turns raping women in 2011 and 2013. Seven of the suits claim the women were offered drug-laced drinks before being assaulted. Leah Peters is the only named woman, alleging she was raped by Oren in 2018 after meeting him at a party.

The lawsuits were filed under an extension of New York's Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, allowing survivors to bring claims previously barred by statute of limitations.

Two brothers, Alexander real estate owners, sued for alleged sex crimes in court.
