he National Association of Realtors has announced two new appointments to its communications team, as the trade association prioritizes transparency, innovation, and advocacy for Realtors and consumers. Bennett Richardson will join NAR as senior vice president of marketing and communications, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in technology, policy, and journalism. He previously worked at Semafor, Google, and Politico, where he developed a strong background in public affairs.
Richardson expressed his enthusiasm for joining NAR, citing its mission to empower members to help Americans access homeownership and build wealth through real estate. Raffi Williams will join NAR as vice president of communications, bringing experience in journalism, government media strategy, and financial communications. He previously worked at the Federal Housing Finance Agency and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
NAR CEO Nykia Wright praised Richardson and Williams for their expertise and strategic insight, saying they will sharpen NAR's voice and strengthen its communications during a pivotal time for the real estate industry. Wright has been building her leadership team, including recent hires Elizabeth Ranno, Matthew Cenedella, and Jarrod Grasso. The appointments of Richardson and Williams are effective May 31, two months after NAR announced it was cutting 61 positions.
