I
n a bold move, the National Association of REALTORS' Innovation, Opportunity & Investment (iOi) initiative is transforming into a dynamic online platform that fuels proptech innovation year-round. Gone are the days of annual in-person events; instead, real estate professionals can now tap into cutting-edge technology tools and network with like-minded peers through the iOi collective at ioi.realtor.

This virtual hub connects NAR members with proptech developers, investors, and tech leaders, offering a wealth of resources including real-time updates, meetups, webinars, and a dedicated blog on emerging technologies. "Our goal is to expand the community and drive innovation by bridging the gap between real estate professionals and technology leaders," says Dan Weisman, NAR's director of innovation strategy.

The iOi collective delves into pressing topics like AI, computer vision, modular construction, and virtual reality, while also highlighting entrepreneurs tackling housing affordability and other industry challenges. "We're not just keeping pace with technology; we're shaping its future," Weisman emphasizes.

Two signature programs – the Pitch Battle and Innovator of the Year Awards – will make their debut at NAR's flagship conferences. The Innovator of the Year Awards recognize leaders pushing real estate innovation, while the Pitch Battle showcases startups competing to revolutionize the industry.
