ew York Life Real Estate Investors (NYLREI) has appointed Natalia Todorov as head of commercial mortgage lending for the Western Region. In this role, she will oversee a team responsible for originating, underwriting, and structuring various real estate debt investments. Reporting to Rob Boyd, head of commercial mortgage lending, Todorov will work closely with Eric Becher and Scott Ingham.
Todorov brings over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, most recently serving as executive director at PGIM Real Estate, where she originated commercial mortgage products throughout the Pacific Northwest and California. Her expertise will be instrumental in expanding NYLREI's commercial mortgage lending activities and providing a framework for portfolio growth.
Mark Talgo, head of NYLREI, stated that Todorov's experience and network on the West Coast make her uniquely qualified to strengthen the company's debt platform and capitalize on emerging lending opportunities. With over $66.7 billion in assets under management as of June 30, 2024, New York Life Real Estate Investors is actively seeking to acquire additional properties throughout the U.S.
Todorov holds a B.A. degree in economics from the University of California at Davis and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She joins NYLREI from PGIM Real Estate, where she previously held notable commercial real estate roles at Wells Fargo and Redwood Trust.
