autilus Homes, a luxury builder based in Sarasota, has made history by winning national awards for two consecutive years. This achievement is unprecedented in the city of Sarasota. The company's success follows last year's five awards from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) for its Island Breeze project.
This year, Nautilus Homes took home six prestigious honors from NAHB for Watersound and En Pointe. Watersound, a 5,700-square-foot residence in Cherokee Park, received recognition at The Nationals and the Best in American Living Awards (BALA). It was awarded "Best One-of-a-Kind Custom Home in North America" (5,001-6,000 square feet) and "Best Interiors of a Custom Home." Watersound also won BALA awards for "Best One-of-a-Kind Custom Home," "Best Kitchen in a Custom Home Priced Over $2 Million," and "Best Outdoor Room/Living Space."
Watersound was designed by Cooper Johnson Smith Peterson Architects & Town Planners and Ellen Hanson Designs. Nautilus Homes' En Pointe project, a five-story luxury condominium on Golden Gate Point, earned Silver at the 2024 BALA Awards in the "Multifamily Built-for-Sale/Condominium" category. The condo's modern design incorporates Sarasota's Special Overlay Zoning District provisions, creating four private residences that enhance the neighborhood's character while maintaining its scale and charm.
