ew York City nightclub Nebula has been sold to Dream Hospitality Group founder George Karavias and entrepreneur Michael Vaknin, who have acquired a majority ownership stake in the Times Square hotspot.
The deal expands Karavias' hospitality portfolio in New York City, which includes popular nightclubs like Harbor Nightclub, The Stafford Room, and Musica NYC. Vaknin's background in real estate and property management brings a new dimension to the partnership.
Nebula, known for hosting top EDM DJs, was previously owned by Richie Romero and Yang Ga, who took a risk opening the club during the COVID-19 pandemic in September 2021. The venue boasts 11,000 square feet over three floors, making it one of the largest nightclubs in Gotham at the time.
Karavias and Vaknin plan to honor Michael Vaknin's late sister, Shirael, by installing a new mural at the entrance. Shirael was a music lover who passed away in 2019 but believed in her brother's vision for the nightlife industry.
