A
new professional soccer stadium could be coming to Milwaukee, potentially scoring a major goal for the city. The Iron District development is moving forward with plans for an 8,000-seat soccer-specific stadium in a currently vacant lot bordered by N. 6th Street and W. Michigan Street.
Records show MDC Iron District LLC purchased the land for over $9 million, as revealed in online deed records from the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. Construction on the stadium could begin as early as this summer, according to developers.
