A
prominent New Orleans real estate developer, Joe Jaeger, who passed away in a car crash last year, will have his personal items sold at an auction. As president and CEO of the MCC Real Estate Group, Jaeger was known for owning notable buildings and high-end hotels across the city.
The two-day auction, held by Crescent City Auction Gallery on August 15-16, will feature Jaeger's prized possessions, including a rare early 20th-century popcorn wagon, an autographed Eagles Hotel California guitar, and a whimsical Zoltar fortune-telling machine. The items were collected from a 28,000-square-foot warehouse, which was insufficient to hold the entire collection.
According to Adam Lambert, president of CCAG, the auction will feature over 565 items with an estimated value of more than $830,000. The auction begins at 10 a.m. each day, and interested parties can view the catalog online for more information.
