The Helm: Empowering Women in Real Estate Coaching Without Compromising Business Success

T
he Helm, a startup founded by Danielle Wilkie and Heather Frick, aims to bridge the gap between women in real estate and nationally recognized coaches. Despite making up most of the industry, few women hold coaching positions, with men dominating this field. The Helm seeks to change this by providing opportunities for agents to find diverse coaches and for more women to become coaches without sacrificing their business success.

Wilkie, CEO and co-founder of The Helm, brings experience from various industries, including residential real estate, property management, Craftsy, NetQuote, and Angi. Frick, a certified executive coach, has worked with companies like BP, Microsoft, Oracle, and Assent. Notable advisors include Coldwell Banker CEO Kamini Lane, Jodi Hall, Leslie Appleton-Young, and Pam O'Connor.

The Helm's founders identified three main reasons for the lack of female coaches: a confidence gap, tunnel vision around the idea that women can't coach and succeed in their current business, and a false choice between giving away experience for free or pursuing coaching. Wilkie realized it was time to build a new generation of coaching in real estate with more women leading the way.

The Helm plans to cultivate transformative leaders by introducing elevated standards, including new certifications and accreditations. Success will be measured by creating meaningful impact through high-performance coaching, strategic insights, and results-driven growth.

New online platform offers accessible coaching services worldwide, bridging geographical gaps.
