uxury real estate agent Gail Bomze, known for selling some of Manhattan's most expensive homes, has been charged with assault and endangering a child. She denies the allegations, claiming she was injured in a tussle over a free t-shirt at a Hamptons concert.
According to police reports, Bomze, 75, was at the Tuesdays on Main beach concert in East Hampton last week when a woman punched and kicked other concertgoers while trying to grab a free t-shirt. A 7-year-old girl told cops that the woman grabbed her arm and bit it, breaking the skin and leaving her arm bloody and swollen.
Bomze has been a fixture on the Upper East Side social scene, donating to charity and attending high-profile events. However, her attorney claims she is a "75-year-old grandmother" who was knocked to the ground by teenagers during the t-shirt toss and reported her concerns to event organizers.
The Tuesday on Main concert series, which has run for four summers in East Hampton, has been praised as safe and family-friendly. Its CEO condemned the alleged incident, stating that safety is their top priority and they remain committed to ensuring the concerts continue without incident.
Bomze's real estate career includes selling Geraldo Rivera's $4 million apartment and listing a Park Avenue townhouse for $22 million. She denies any wrongdoing in the alleged assault case.
