ew York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor is making a move to the Upper East Side, purchasing a penthouse at EJS Group's 200 East 75th Street development for approximately $20 million. The 5,000-square-foot apartment features six bedrooms, multiple terraces, and 11-foot ceilings. Sales at the building launched in March, with Compass leading the marketing effort.
About half of the 36 units have been sold, with construction expected to be completed next year. Amenities will include an outdoor fireplace, movie theater, and virtual sports room. EJS founder Ted Segal expressed satisfaction with the market's response to the project, which was assembled in 2021 for $32 million.
Lindor joined the Mets in 2021 after signing a 10-year, $341 million contract, making him the team's highest-paid player at the time. The 31-year-old baseball star has also been linked to a new record-breaking deal with the Mets, eclipsing his own previous contract.
