res Management Corp., a Los Angeles-based investment firm, has acquired the Airport Logistics Center in eastern Henrico County for $66.9 million. The 619,000-square-foot complex on Seven Hills Boulevard consists of three buildings and was developed by Becknell Industrial between 2019 and 2022.
The properties are leased to several major tenants, including Irish electronics manufacturer Anord Mardix, local packaging firm Dominion Packaging, and German grocer Lidl. Ares Management has a significant portfolio with around $464 billion in assets under management.
Becknell Industrial was the seller of the Airport Logistics Center, but declined to comment on the deal. The sale closed on December 27, nearly $22 million more than the properties' combined assessed value of $45.5 million.
The purchase is part of a larger trend in Henrico's industrial market, which has seen several high-profile deals in recent months. Other notable sales include the former LL Flooring distribution center in Sandston for $104 million and the 14-building Dabney Center for over $75 million.
