Nvidia expands South Bay real estate holdings with new site acquisitions.

N
vidia has embarked on a massive real estate buying spree in the South Bay, with a total investment of over $747 million in Santa Clara properties. The tech giant's latest acquisition involves three office and research buildings along San Tomas Expressway, purchased for $254.3 million. This deal brings Nvidia's total spending to nearly $700 million in just over a year.

Nvidia has been expanding its presence in the South Bay through both property purchases and leases. The company has now acquired several properties across from its headquarters on San Tomas Expressway. In the past 12 months, Nvidia has bought multiple buildings in Santa Clara, including six properties for $374.3 million and ten others for $123 million.

The Sobrato Organization, a prominent real estate firm, has been involved in several of these deals. Nvidia had agreed to purchase four more buildings from Sobrato in January 2025, but the status of this transaction is unclear. The company also leases an office building in San Jose as part of its expansion efforts.

Nvidia's financial performance has been a key driver behind its aggressive growth strategy. In the past year, the company reported profits of $72.89 billion on revenue of $130.5 billion, more than doubling both figures from the previous year. This success has enabled Nvidia to hire workers at a rapid pace, with employee numbers increasing by 21.6% in just one year.
