n 80-acre estate in Oregon, designed for indoor-outdoor entertaining near Bend, will be auctioned off on July 24 with an asking price of $9,999,000. Low offers between $3.75-$5.75 million are expected to kick off early bidding starting Friday, according to listing broker Jen Bowen of Coldwell Banker Bain, who is partnering with Concierge Auctions.

    To participate in the auction, interested buyers must register and make a $100,000 deposit. The highest bidder will pay a 12% fee to Concierge Auctions, in addition to the purchase price. The estate, located at 62265 Dodds Road, features panoramic Cascade views of seven mountain peaks and is bordered on two sides by Bureau of Land Management land.

    The gated property offers "no traffic noise or neighbors in sight," said Bowen, who added that it appeals to art collectors, classic car owners, anglers, and people who appreciate the outdoors. The main residence has 6,321 square feet of living space across two levels, with exterior materials including fire-resistant metal roofs and cement siding surrounded by fire-breaking buffer zones.

    The contemporary-style home was designed by Mussa & Associates of Sedona, Arizona, to take full advantage of its site on a rise overlooking a meadow. The property also features energy-efficient radiant heating concrete floors, a 40 kW Tesla solar system with battery backup, and hands-free pocket doors opening to the two primary suites.

    Additional amenities include three simple rectangular shelters called "guest pods," caretaker's quarters, an underground bunker, a six-car garage, and a 10,000-square-foot climate-controlled shop that can display more than 20 vehicles. Outdoor entertaining spaces include a pond-side pavilion with a commercial kitchen and pizza oven, a cantina with built-in bar seating, and a heated pool and pool house.

    The property is 14 miles from downtown Bend, four miles to the Bend airport, and 34 miles to the Redmond Municipal Airport. The original asking price in July 2024 was $10,990,000. Concierge Auctions will donate through the Giveback Homes program to build homes for families in need once the property is sold.
