erry and Darlene Jordan have sold their lakefront estate in Palm Beach for a record-breaking $86.5 million, making it the most expensive home sale on the island this year. The buyer's identity remains hidden behind a trust managed by attorney Christopher B. Lacaria.
The Jordans purchased the 1.7-acre property in 2000 for $14 million and had previously listed it for $84.9 million in 2021. They recently bought a non-waterfront home on the island for $15.2 million, a common practice among Palm Beach residents who often "house-hop" to upgrade or downsize.
The sale is the second priciest residential transaction in Palm Beach this year, following William Lauder's $160 million purchase of vacant oceanfront land. The Jordans' estate features a 13,400-square-foot main house with five bedrooms and eight bathrooms, as well as a pool and dock.
