The real estate market is reaping the benefits of this newfound attention, with high-end buyers clamoring for a piece of the action. According to local observers, people of means are eager to own a slice of Palm Beach, driving up sales and pending deals across the island. A search of the local MLS revealed 13 single-family homes, three townhouses, and 27 condos under contract, with many more in the works.
New listings have been pouring into the market, particularly in the $10-15 million range, which appears to be the sweet spot for buyers seeking better-quality homes without breaking the bank. Since February 1st, three new single-family listings have joined the MLS in this price category, while two others have landed under contract.
As the Presidents Day weekend gets underway, house hunters and condo shoppers will find a diverse range of options available to them. Thursday's MLS search revealed 93 single-family homes and 10 townhouses for sale, with prices ranging from $95 million to $5 million. In the multifamily market, 156 condos and co-ops are available on Condo Row south of Sloan's Curve, while another 92 units can be found in Midtown and the near North End.
Land buyers will find 14 active listings, including seven properties ripe for tear-down, with prices starting at $200 million and dipping to around $5 million. As one real estate professional noted, it's a buyer's market – but with a twist: the island's newfound status as a hub of politics has created a unique opportunity for those looking to own a piece of Palm Beach history.
