erek Taylor, former COO of Three Leaf Partners, is suing Pat Connaughton and other executives for allegedly retaliating against him after he raised concerns about financial transparency. Taylor claims he was ousted from the company without notice or explanation after questioning the use of company resources for personal projects and non-business purposes.
According to the lawsuit, Connaughton and another executive, Matthew Burow, used company resources for their own benefit, including building a private residence and working on Connaughton's foundation. Taylor's attorney alleges that once he tried to increase financial transparency at the company, he was frozen out of important decisions and denied access to company records.
Taylor claims that he was promised a lucrative deal when he joined Three Leaf Partners, with promises of creating generational wealth. However, after he attempted to increase financial performance, he encountered a lack of transparency and discovered that Connaughton and Burow were using company resources for their own gain.
The lawsuit alleges that Connaughton and Burow engaged in accounting practices to show profitability, including overstating project costs. Taylor opposed these practices, leading Connaughton and Burow to secretly hire lawyers to force him out of the company. Taylor was eventually removed as COO without notice or explanation and had his laptop confiscated.
Taylor is seeking access to his personal files and compensation for the alleged wrongful actions of Connaughton and Burow. A spokesperson for Three Leaf Partners has denied the allegations, stating that they will be addressed through the proper legal process.
