ulu Simon is still not a fan of Richard Gere, and she made that clear on social media. She claimed that when he bought her childhood home from her father, Paul Simon, he promised to take care of the property as a condition of the sale. However, instead of moving in, Gere allegedly sold it to a developer who broke it up into nine separate plots.
The property was sold for $10.75 million last year and was later listed on Realtor.com with instructions to preserve its historic parts. Lulu's Instagram post included a photo of Gere with her deceased pets in the background, captioning it "I hope my dead pets buried in that back yard haunt you until you descend into a slow and unrelenting madness."
When Richard Gere and his wife Alejandra Silva purchased the 32-acre property from Paul Simon in 2022, they had planned to convert most of the land into a farm. However, their lawyer assured the Planning and Zoning Commission that the historical property would not be turned into commercial real estate.
