uesday, Sept. 9, 2025 – Phil Taitt reports from Midtown: In the first independent poll of the mayoral race, Zohran Mam Mamdani has nearly doubled former Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s lead. Among the four candidates, Mamdani stands at 46 % of likely voters, Cuomo 24 %, Sliwa 15 % and Mayor Adams 9 %. A head‑to‑head scenario tightens the contest, with Mamdani 48 % versus Cuomo 44 %. The Times/Siena College poll suggests that narrowing the field could erode Mamdani’s advantage, but only if both the incumbent mayor and Sliwa withdraw. Real‑estate leaders are slated to meet privately to rally support for Cuomo.
