utnam County's median sale price for single-family homes reached a record high of $625,000 in August, marking a 26% increase from the same period last year. Despite this, single-family home sales dropped by six percent.
Condo sales, on the other hand, experienced a significant surge, rising 44% to a median price of $395,000. The Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors reported that Westchester County led the way with a median sale price of $1.1 million for single-family homes.
In Rockland County, single-family home sales increased by seven percent to $748,000, while condo prices rose 18% to $421,000. Orange County saw a decline in single-family home sales and condo closings, but condos still experienced an eight percent median price increase to $310,000.
Single-family homes in Sullivan County sold for one percent more than the previous year at $465,000, while condo sales plummeted by 50% last year with a median price of $224,000.
