n the exclusive enclave of Bel-Air, a Mediterranean-style villa once owned by Hollywood legend Raquel Welch has found a new owner for $3.1 million. The estate's journey to this price point was marked by a series of reductions, initially listed at $3.9 million and later at $3.69 million.

Welch purchased the gated property in 2009 for $2.5 million, and it boasts five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and an impressive 5,118 square feet of living space. The home's grand columns and open views create a seamless indoor-outdoor experience, perfect for entertaining. A covered terrace off the main bedroom suite offers breathtaking vistas.

Built in 1998, the villa features an eat-in kitchen, a family room with French doors leading to the pool area, and a home office on the main floor. The upstairs main bedroom suite boasts a sitting area, private terrace, and decorative fireplace. Throughout the property, ample storage space is available for those who appreciate organization.

Welch's life and career are currently in the spotlight thanks to a new documentary, "I am Raquel Welch," which premiered in March. The film explores her Bolivian heritage and its impact on her journey in Hollywood. In an interview, Welch reflects on whether she would have achieved similar success if she had retained her maiden name, Tejada.

The property's sale is attributed to British horror film producer Justin Hyne, who acquired the estate from Welch's estate after her passing in 2023 at the age of 82 due to cardiac arrest and Alzheimer's disease. The co-listing brokers are Ernie Carswell and Lloyd Ross of Douglas Elliman, along with Brett Lawyer of Carolwood Estates.
