aynetta “Ray” Hill, of Milwaukee’s King Drive BID, oversaw $700,000+ in streetscape upgrades, the Bronzeville zoning overlay, BRUSH art project, and secured Main Street America accreditation. Her leadership raised King Drive’s property values and business occupancy, with millions invested in district development, says Tassia Jackson, BID admin assistant. Hill introduced programs like Fuel the Drive microgrants and Corridor Cares, a workforce initiative that keeps the corridor clean and creates jobs. She volunteers with the Associates in Commercial Real Estate, teaches development, served on the WHEDA board (2019‑24), and was named to Harvard Business School’s Young American Leaders Program.
