CP Companies, a leading mixed‑use real‑estate developer and investor, has named David Wilson, MAI, its new Director of Mixed‑Use Assets. Wilson will direct the firm’s mixed‑use strategy, oversee asset management, align properties with long‑term goals, unlock value, and lead the rollout of RCP’s property‑management platform.
With more than 37 years in commercial real estate, Wilson’s experience covers multifamily and mixed‑use investment, asset strategy, and market analysis. A Dallas native, he began at the nation’s largest residential mortgage firm before moving into commercial appraisal in Dallas, where he gained cross‑sector expertise.
In 1994 he founded The David Wilson Company in Huntsville, which grew into one of North Alabama’s largest appraisal, research, and consulting firms. Through DWC, Wilson pioneered the first recurring multifamily market surveys for Alabama’s major cities, laying the groundwork for his lifelong focus on the state’s multifamily sector.
Wilson later served as a multifamily investment sales agent at Rock Apartment Advisors, then joined Berkadia Real Estate Advisors in 2014. Berkadia, the country’s largest multifamily‑dedicated brokerage, consistently ranked its Alabama office among the nation’s top producers. In 2021 he became Broker of Record for that office, concentrating on new construction, institutional, and Class B apartments. For 27 years he has produced a biannual Huntsville multifamily market report.
“David’s unmatched knowledge of Alabama’s multifamily and real‑estate markets, coupled with his proven ability to build value and trust, makes him the perfect leader as we expand our mixed‑use platform,” said Max Grelier, Co‑Founder of RCP Companies. “His expertise will be vital as we position our portfolio for long‑term success and operational excellence.”
