eller Williams is supporting its agents in the Southeast affected by Hurricane Helene through cash grants and donations of power generators. KW Cares, the brokerage's nonprofit arm, has sent over 450 generators to North and South Carolina, and about 25 to Florida. The organization has also issued 50 grants for immediate needs such as lodging, food, and health care, with more expected as agents regain access to basic services.
Other real estate companies like RE/MAX and Anywhere Real Estate are raising funds through relief portals for affected sales associates and employees. Meanwhile, homeowners and renters can seek disaster relief options from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, including mortgage assistance or payment suspension for up to 12 months.
