ellnessJK is capitalizing on the growing demand for wellness services by focusing on real estate development. The Global Wellness Institute predicts a $9 trillion wellness economy by 2028, with wellness real estate being the fastest-growing sector since before the pandemic, experiencing an 18.1% annual growth between 2019 and 2023.
According to Andy Dunn, Senior Sales Director at WellnessJK, this trend indicates a growing confidence in people's own wellness journeys. "Wellness real estate growth is a great barometer for us to see the health of the industry," he said. "It shows full circle recovery from a tough few years being achieved and now surpassing 2019 growth numbers."
WellnessJK attributes the surge in wellness real estate to two main factors: the current state of the real estate market, with many vacant properties available for operators to fill, and consumers' increased desire for community-driven programs that promote mental wellbeing. "Consumers have a deeper understanding of what in-person, community-driven programs can do for their mental wellbeing," Dunn explained.
In response to this trend, WellnessJK has adapted its sales tactics to focus on large growth segments and geographic locations already engulfed by the wellness surge. The brand is also exploring virtual wellness options as a bridge between at-home experiences and physical locations.
"We're trying to ensure we develop a sales and coverage strategy that takes full advantage of these trends in the segments we are working on for future success," Dunn said. "By doing this, we are trying to leverage and use our brand equity to help those customers and segments to have the best possible product experience."
WellnessJK expects virtual wellness to surge alongside growing in-person opportunities, with new modalities becoming more mainstream as research leads wellness seekers to try and experiment with different techniques.
The brand is also planning to expand its findings on industry trends, breaking down wellness into precise sectors such as recovery, relaxation, and rejuvenation. WellnessJK aims to support the fitness, hospitality, and spa world in connecting the dots between GLP-1s, Semaglutides, and proper recovery and wellness protocols.
In 2025, WellnessJK plans to apply an even blend between automatic and in-person services, giving clients and users a broad arsenal of tools to help accomplish their wellness goals. The brand is also exploring self-service or automated solutions, such as its Wellsystem Wave product, which uses airless water for a high-precision, low-maintenance experience.
