uxury real estate agents Oren and Tal Alexander were arrested on Wednesday and charged with sex trafficking and drug abuse in New York. Prosecutors described the alleged conduct as "heinous." The brothers, known for their high-end property deals in NYC and Miami, are accused of luring, drugging, and raping several women over a decade.

    New York Police Department Commissioner Jessica S Tisch called the charges "some of the most heinous and dehumanising crimes of sexual exploitation" the NYPD is investigating. Oren and Tal face multiple allegations of rape and sexual assault, while their brother Alon faces civil allegations of sexual misconduct.

    According to the indictment, from 2010 onwards, the Alexander brothers repeatedly drugged, sexually assaulted, and raped dozens of women. They used their wealth and influence to create opportunities for these crimes, often meeting victims through dating apps, social media, events, bars, and nightclubs. The indictment also alleges that they used party promoters to recruit women.

    The brothers would promise luxury experiences, including flight tickets, hotels, and concert tickets, in exchange for sex. They also promised romantic relationships to lure victims into their trap. Once drugged, the women were unable to fight back or escape the sexual assaults. In some cases, the defendants physically restrained and held down their victims during the rapes.

    The indictment mentions instances of gang rape, including one case where a woman was invited to a barbecue at Alon's Miami Beach apartment, only to be assaulted by Oren, Alon, and another relative. Manhattan US Attorney Damian Williams said that the Alexander brothers "were not acting alone" and vowed to investigate and prosecute anyone involved in sex trafficking, regardless of their wealth or fame.
