eal estate brokers Tal and Oren Alexander, along with their brother Alon, were arrested on federal charges that they allegedly drugged and raped several women in a sex trafficking scheme. The trio was accused of running a sophisticated operation between 2010 and 2021, using their wealth and influence to lure victims to parties and social gatherings.
According to the indictment, the brothers would pretend to be interested in starting relationships with their victims, often flying them out on trips or to vacation homes, before allegedly plying them with illicit substances that left them helpless. The indictment alleges they used drugs such as cocaine, mushrooms, and GHB to incapacitate their victims.
Outgoing U.S. Attorney Damian Williams described the brothers' actions as "repeatedly and violently" drugging and raping dozens of women. If convicted, the brothers face up to 15 years in prison on charges including conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion.
The Alexanders have denied any wrongdoing, with Oren's lawyer stating that "the evidence will show that neither he nor his brothers ever committed a crime." The Southern District of New York is asking anyone who may have been victimized by the Alexanders to come forward.
