Real Estate Mergers and Moves: Century 21 Expands, eXp Launches "UPGRADE", Coldwell Banker Gains California Team.

he brokerage business is a dynamic industry with frequent mergers, acquisitions, and milestones. Here are some of the latest developments across the US:

    M&A activity in Southern Louisiana has resulted in the creation of the state's largest Century 21 firm. Century 21 Bessette Realty has merged with Flavin Realty, combining their 85 agents under one banner. The new entity, Century 21 Bessette Flavin, will leverage C21's technology and global network to enhance its services.

    eXp Realty is launching a new initiative called UPGRADE, designed to empower real estate professionals through education, growth, and innovation. Vija Williams, a seasoned industry expert, has been appointed to lead the program, which aims to elevate agents, team leaders, and brokerage owners in all areas of life.

    Bret Whitfield, a top-producing agent from The Agency, has joined Engel & Völkers as director of the Dallas Park Cities shop. With over $300 million in sales volume last year, Whitfield will lead recruiting, mentorship, and growth efforts for the company's Texas operations.

    EXIT Realty is expanding its presence with eight new office openings across the US and Canada, including locations in Alabama, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Ontario, and New Brunswick. Tami Bonnell, co-chair of EXIT Realty, emphasized the importance of expertly trained professionals and brokerages during uncertain market conditions.

    Other notable developments include Coldwell Banker Realty's acquisition of The Jacqueline Thompson Group in Newport Beach, California; United Real Estate's expansion into Alabama with a new office in Florence; and The Agency's launch of a second office in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Additionally, Engel & Völkers Sonoma County has appointed Bianca Broos and Lindsey Ehrlicher Styles as license partners for its shops in Sonoma and Mendocino counties, while Brands by Integra has named Tim Robinson as senior vice president of growth.
