HGTV has canceled Married to Real Estate after four seasons, citing low viewership. The show's hosts, Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson, announced the news in a joint statement, expressing gratitude for their time on the program and thanking fans for their support.

"We're met with unexpected news: HGTV has decided not to move forward with MARRIED TO REAL ESTATE," they said. "While it's disheartening, we're grateful for four incredible seasons, our amazing crew, and supportive fans. Our businesses continue to thrive, and most of all, we're still very much married to real estate (and each other)."

The cancellation is not surprising, as the show struggled to attract an audience last season, averaging around 200,000 viewers compared to 750,000 in Season 3. Married to Real Estate is one of four shows canceled by HGTV at the end of June, along with Farmhouse Fixer, Izzy Does It, and Bargain Block.

Fans are expressing frustration over the sudden cancellations, wondering what the network's plan is for replacing these shows. The move highlights the challenges faced by the cable industry as more consumers switch to streaming services, making it harder for shows to attract a large audience.

While the cancellation of Married to Real Estate is disappointing, Sherrod and Jackson may have other opportunities in the future.

Reality TV series 'Married to Real Estate' concludes after four seasons nationwide.
