T
he Real Estate Board of New York will host its 2025 Commercial Holiday Luncheon on Thursday at the Metropolitan Club, under the banner “Hospitality Meets Real Estate.” A fireside chat, moderated by the speaker, will spotlight the growing influence of restaurants and other food‑and‑beverage tenants on commercial development. The session will feature SL Green CEO Marc Holliday and celebrated chef Daniel Boulud, who oversees flagship venues such as Le Pavillon at One Vanderbilt and La Tete D’Or at One Madison Avenue.
Attendees will examine key projects that illustrate this trend: L&L’s 425 Park Ave., home to Jean‑Georges Vongerichten’s Four Twenty Five; Olayan America’s 550 Madison Ave., slated to host a trio of eateries by COTE founder Simon Kim; and the Durst Organization’s One Bryant Park, where a new Momoya Japanese restaurant will open. The discussion will also cover the current Manhattan commercial market and the potential effects of the forthcoming Zohran Mamdani mayoralty.
Opening remarks will be delivered by REBNY president Jim Whelan, Savills’ Bill Montana, and Compass’s Robin Abrams. Tickets are available through Rebny.com.
