As the holiday season arrives, I'm reminded of the importance of gratitude and taking a break from the stresses of everyday life. After a tumultuous election, I'm feeling grateful for the opportunity to spend time with loved ones and reflect on my blessings.

As a woman who values female agency and autonomy, it's hard not to feel anxious about the state of our nation. However, instead of getting caught up in what I can't control, I focus on making a positive impact in my own community. This week, I volunteered at COMPASS for the "One Warm Coat" drive, granted a child's wish list, and donated to Planned Parenthood and the Alameda Food Bank.

With the help of friends Cliff and Tristan, we winterized our backyard and prepared our home for the holiday season. Meanwhile, my business partner Sarah and I are feeling grateful for the success we've achieved in the past five years. Our listings are now in contract, and we're excited to focus on what lies ahead in 2025.

I'm also thankful for the support of my loved ones, including my husband and our two sons, who have grown into thoughtful young men. We enjoy a beautiful life in the Bay Area, surrounded by nature and wonderful people. As I reflect on my blessings, I'm reminded that gratitude is a powerful tool that helps me navigate life's challenges.

Thank you for your support and readership over the years. May your holidays be filled with love, laughter, and joy – and of course, pie! The Perspective will take next week off to enjoy the holiday, but we'll see you in two weeks.
