RMG Realty Highlights Expertise in Independent Brokerage Model

Reed Moore leaves Keller Williams, launches new real estate brokerage.

MG Real Estate Network founder Reed Moore is breaking away from Keller Williams to start his own brokerage, aiming to improve professionalism in Alaska's real estate industry. With nearly 40 agents, RMG will operate under a model called "full agent support," where the brokerage handles tasks like listing management, marketing, and transaction management, freeing up agents to focus on client relationships.

Moore cites state law requiring agents to be paid through a brokerage as a reason for going independent. At their current size, RMG is essentially already a broker, making it easier to simplify operations. By collecting fees itself, RMG will reduce costs for its agents and offer a more variable split based on production.

As an independent broker, Moore aims to professionalize the field, which he believes lacks a clear standard of excellence. To promote good habits, RMG is introducing a flexible commission structure and providing coaching and consistent training. With a large enough organization, RMG can dedicate resources to leadership and training, ensuring that agents receive high-quality support.

Moore sees RMG as ahead of the curve in terms of professionalism, expecting his model to attract more agents and potentially inspire other teams to follow suit. By emphasizing character, competency, and capacity, RMG aims to create a culture that prioritizes trust and client care.
