osie O'Donnell has finally sold her New York City penthouse triplex at 255 E. 49th St., marking a significant loss for the comedian and talk show host. The unit, which she purchased in 2017 for $8 million, was sold to a shell company called Sky Space LLC for $4.75 million on April 23.
This sale represents a $3.25 million loss for O'Donnell, who had been trying to sell the property for two years with several price cuts from its original ask of $8.3 million. The penthouse, which features four bedrooms and three bathrooms, includes upscale amenities such as a glass-enclosed dining room with East River views and a sprawling rooftop terrace.
O'Donnell's decision to leave New York City comes as she relocates to Ireland with her 12-year-old child, Dakota. In a recent TikTok video, O'Donnell confirmed the move, citing political frustrations as a primary reason for her departure. She has publicly voiced concerns over President Donald Trump's re-election campaign and stated that American politics had taken a toll on her.
The Manhattan sale is not O'Donnell's only real estate loss; she sold her longtime estate in Saddle River, NJ, to affordable housing developers in 2021 for $1 million less than its purchase price after years on the market.
