O
ne of Sacramento's most prominent real estate investors is facing allegations of assault and sexual battery from two women. Ethan Conrad has been named in two separate lawsuits filed within the past month, with a third lawsuit pending. Conrad's company, Ethan Conrad Properties, has invested heavily in the Sacramento area, including a $21 million purchase of a high-rise building in October.
The first lawsuit alleges that Conrad met one woman on Facebook in 2022 and invited her to his home, where he allegedly laced her drinks with a drug and then raped her. The second lawsuit claims that Conrad was physically abusive to another woman when she questioned him about the first allegations.
Conrad has denied all allegations in the first lawsuit, claiming they are an attempt to extort money from him. He alleges that the woman demanded $1,000 for medical treatment related to their consensual sexual encounter but never provided verification of a doctor's visit. Conrad also claims she posted false and defamatory statements about him online.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office investigated the 2022 allegations but found no evidence to support them. KCRA 3 Investigates reached out to Conrad for comment, but he declined. The second lawsuit has yet to be responded to in court.
