Colin Jost and Scarlett Johansson Buy Park Avenue Co-op for $13 Million

C
olin Jost and Scarlett Johansson have purchased a Park Avenue co-op for $13 million, significantly below its initial listing price of $28 million. The triplex penthouse at 1220 Park Avenue boasts six bedrooms across 6,000 square feet, with views of Central Park and balconies off the corner living room. The sellers, Craig and Deborah Cogut, sold the unit for what they paid in 2006.

The property underwent a two-year renovation, upgrading its finishes and mechanical systems. It features five terraces, eight balconies, and an oak-paneled library with a wood-burning fireplace. Designed by Rosario Candela, the building dates back to the 1930s.

This sale is part of a trend of uptown co-op trades below asking price. Earlier this week, a unit at 4 East 66th Street sold for $37 million after initially asking $55 million in 2022. Julia Koch also sold her 18-room co-op at 740 Park Avenue for $45 million last month, 25 percent off the price she sought in 2022. Additionally, Grace Hightower sold her co-op at 88 Central Park West for $18 million after buying it with Robert De Niro for $20.9 million in 2006.
