uthorities are searching for Jenifer Singh, 48, a former Simi Valley resident accused of real estate fraud. A warrant was issued on November 20 after the Ventura County District Attorney's Office charged her with two felony counts of grand theft. As of Tuesday, she remained at large.

    Prosecutors claim Singh posted fake rental ads and collected deposits from victims for a property she didn't own or have permission to rent. In December 2023, she allegedly advertised a Simi Valley home for rent at a Thousand Oaks laundromat, collecting $2,500 in cash as a deposit the following month. She repeated this scheme on social media in March, taking another $3,000 and later an additional $1,000 from a family claiming to need medical expenses.

    The DA's real estate fraud unit suspects there may be other victims and is asking anyone with information about Singh's whereabouts or potential victims to contact them at 805-662-1750. She also goes by the name Jenifer Rios.

    In separate incidents, authorities are investigating a robbery in Newbury Park where a man allegedly held up three workers at gunpoint on Monday night, taking money and personal property without injuring anyone. Deputies searched the area but made no arrests as of Tuesday morning. Anyone with information can call 805-654-9511.

    Two men were seriously injured in a rollover crash near Malibu Sunday night after their vehicle rolled down a 100-foot embankment on Cotharin Road and Lazy J Ranch Drive. The driver was airlifted to Los Robles Regional Medical Center, while the passenger was taken to Ventura County Medical Center via ambulance. Authorities believe drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash, which is still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
