Palm Beach home renovated by real estate agent and investor Betsy Sorrel has sold for $15.9 million. The property at 245 Barton Avenue was listed by John Cregan of Sotheby's International Realty, while Christian Angle with Christian Angle Real Estate brought the buyer. Sorrel, also an agent with Sotheby's International, had purchased the house in 2020 for $3.9 million and completed a major renovation in 2023. The 1952-built home spans 3,600 square feet, has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a pool.
The sale is one of several high-end transactions in Palm Beach during its peak season. In recent weeks, entities linked to Kayne Anderson CEO Al Rabil and the billionaire Cox family have bought homes on the island for $17.6 million and $30.8 million, respectively. Last month, Barnes & Noble widow Louise Riggio sold her oceanfront estate for $81 million, one of the priciest South Florida sales of 2024.
