South Florida Luxury Residential Deals: Mogul Buys Span Miami to Palm Beach Gardens

n recent luxury residential deals in South Florida, high-profile buyers have snapped up properties from Miami to Palm Beach Gardens. The transactions range from $8.5 million to $12.7 million.

    In Miami's Bay Point neighborhood, a long-haul trucking and logistics company co-founders purchased a waterfront teardown for $12.5 million. Ramon and Bernardo Mijares, founders of Bulk Environmental & Industrial, bought the 7,800-square-foot home from private equity investor Zachary Schiffman. Built in 1942 on half an acre, the property features five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a pool, dock, and 100 feet of waterfront.

    In Palm Beach Gardens' Old Palm Golf Club, insurance mogul Scott Carmilani bought a mansion for $12.7 million. Carmilani, executive chairman of Vault Insurance, purchased the 8,600-square-foot home from Michael Narlinger, founder of Brookline Investment Group. The renovated property boasts five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a wine room, elevator, and four-car garage.

    Also in Old Palm, entertainment executive Jeff Kwatinetz bought a mansion for $8.5 million. Kwatinetz, COO of Ice Cube's film production company Cube Vision, purchased the 9,000-square-foot home from an LLC managed by Malory Clifford. The property features five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and a putting green.
